Hanzamonstas is the brand of Singapore-born Priscilla Ong, a Melbourne-based artist. She is an international, multi-faceted, contemporary artist, street brand creator, and community worker.
Being a travelling artist for many years has allowed influences from diverse communities, as well as her own cultural heritage, to inspire her work. Having a passion for animation and making magic happen has shaped Priscilla's style. She brings fantasy and new life to objects and spaces, from stippling on paper, to painting on skateboards, and murals.

Do you have a storefront?
At the moment, I do pop-up markets with @gaystuffmarkets. You can follow me on Instagram @hanzamonstas to see where I'll be.
How did you create the designs for your products?
I paint on skateboards, doors, walls, and I photograph the art, edit them, and send them to be printed! I also use ink and paper. Recently, I started experimenting with drawing digitally with the tablet.
Do you do tattoos?
I do not ink them myself, but if you would like to use any of my artwork as a tattoo design, you may do so by purchasing a tattoo ticket.
Did you do all the art for your custom deck of playing cards?
Yes. I used the prompts from Inktober 2021 to design my deck of cards. All the court cards (Jacks, Queens, Kings), the Jokers, the card back, and the Ace of Spades are custom designed. For more information about the Hanzamonsta card deck and design, follow this link.
